Classic Look

PlanBPlan “B” Eyewear has added a bright new model to its Headlines collection. This acetate frame turns classic male style on its head, utilizing the square acetate frame we all know and love and giving it new life through an injection of bold, unusual colour.

These dynamic colour techniques catch light and create a sense of movement and depth. They are the perfect frame for the man who wants a classic look with an edge. Colour options include blue, green and brown.

Modo Adds Five Styles to Super Thin Plastic Collection

ModoContemporary meets classic with recent additions to Modo’s super thin plastic collection. The collection includes five new styles in four colours each, aligning with the brand’s rich history. The fusion of fashion-relevant tones and classic shapes make the frames flattering for all occasions.

Style 6514 in light brown stripe is a Pantos-shaped frame with a keyhole nose bridge. The light brown hue falls in line with this season’s misted yellow tone trend. Style 6517 in lapis is a subtle cat-eye that also matches this season’s bright cobalt trend. The frame features a jewel-toned marble pattern with hues of cobalt, umber and speckles of sage.

The new styles retain the line’s signature metal-on-metal hinge that is both functional, decorative, and reflects the highest level of micro engineering. The rounded metal hinges are replicated with precision in the plastic temples by hand polishing edges for a perfect connection. The final effect is one of lightness, precision temple movement and sophistication, apparent in the metal accent contrasted with deep and beautiful colours.

Vicomte A: New Collection Mixing Aristocratic Cheek and Predictable Preppy

VicomteASince its establishment in 2005, Vicomte A – a French success story – has celebrated key milestones. The year 2013 marked the opening of several single brand stores in such major markets as Miami, Saint Dominica, Punta Cana, Tunisia, Tours, and Marseilles. The line is now distributed in Canada by Perfect Optical.

Just seven years after it made its initial grand entrance on the optical fashion stage, Vicomte A boasts nearly 400 sales outlets, including roughly twenty of its self-named boutiques.

Arthur de Soultrait, founder of the broad-based fashion brand, had chic French sportswear in mind in terms of a look that would marry a golf-meets-nobility sensibility reflected in the collection’s use of round and square shapes with leopard prints, and mixes of black and green, turquoise and purple.

Recently, the company announced its signing with Montreal-based distributor Perfect Optical. Once again, this time in eyewear, the Vicomte A brand breaks established dress codes with an audacious mix of material and style.

Inspired by the iconic styles of the 1930s, the Vicomte A collection plays with colour and typical preppy shapes in 10 models, three colours each. The target age group is 25-35 stylish rebels seeking quality up-market products, accessibly priced. Vicomte A brings colour, light, elegance, and humour to the eyewear market with enough aristocratic cheekiness for everyone.

MoodMood Eyewear is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Italian company Pramaor, granting the Canadian distribution rights for the Blackfin collection. These frames are completely produced in Italy and entirely made of titanium and beta-titanium. According to Mood Eyewear, this unique collection fills a pressing demand in the market for metal frames that combine lightness, elegance and impeccable quality of materials for both men and women.

“I was struck instantly by this fascinating collection,” said Mood Eyewear President André Bélanger. “There is an urgent need for quality metal frames in the market so this lightweight and creative but also very wearable line comes in at a great time. Blackfin is exactly what we needed: a 100 per cent Made in Italy titanium frame that is 40 to 70 per cent lighter than comparable products.”

The Blackfin authorized retailers who have not purchased the product through Mood Eyewear are invited to contact the company’s customer service department to maintain assistance and warranties.

It is also with great pride that Mood Eyewear welcomes back Donald A. Smith to its team. Mr. Smith is a well-known and well-respected sales representative and had worked previously with Mood. Bold Frames for Big Drama

Dsquared2Direct from the high-octane glamour of Dsquared2’s runway, the statement-making Ophelia design is a limited edition sunglasses model. Decorated with leaf-shaped fronds of jumbo jewels in smoked topaz and crystal hues, these oversized, rounded, square lenses come in black or Havana frames with black-coloured lenses.

Taking their shape from a bold cat eye, the Elisabeth design has a distinctive look through its wide-winged feline frames, emboldened with crystals in the top corners of the brow. Accentuating their feminine allure, a romantic cursive Dsquared2 metallic logo is appliqued on the temples. Their unique look is defined with five diverse colour combinations of frames, jewels and lenses. The Elisabeth also shines in its more pared back optical version of black frames embedded with clear crystals.

Retro design also influences Tanabe, Dsquared2’s men’s optical frame for Fall / Winter 2014. With their squared shape and a clean, bold profile, these frames resemble the glasses of an artist or intellectual from the 60s. A svelte symphony of geometric lines merged with curvilinear and convex surfaces creates maximum impact in monochrome black and modern masculine hues of brown horn and striped grey.

The Dsquared2 line is distributed by Marcolin USA/Viva.
