Direct from the high-octane glamour of Dsquared2’s runway, the statement-making Ophelia design is a limited edition sunglasses model. Decorated with leaf-shaped fronds of jumbo jewels in smoked topaz and crystal hues, these oversized, rounded, square lenses come in black or Havana frames with black-coloured lenses.
Taking their shape from a bold cat eye, the Elisabeth design has a distinctive look through its wide-winged feline frames, emboldened with crystals in the top corners of the brow. Accentuating their feminine allure, a romantic cursive Dsquared2 metallic logo is appliqued on the temples. Their unique look is defined with five diverse colour combinations of frames, jewels and lenses. The Elisabeth also shines in its more pared back optical version of black frames embedded with clear crystals.
Retro design also influences Tanabe, Dsquared2’s men’s optical frame for Fall / Winter 2014. With their squared shape and a clean, bold profile, these frames resemble the glasses of an artist or intellectual from the 60s. A svelte symphony of geometric lines merged with curvilinear and convex surfaces creates maximum impact in monochrome black and modern masculine hues of brown horn and striped grey.
The Dsquared2 line is distributed by Marcolin USA/Viva.
