Arianne Jonkergouw is the
quintessential ‘accidental optical
designer’ who followed her passion.
Success has subsequently followed
her.

native of ’s-Hertogenbosch, the
Netherlands, Jonkergouw has
been the purchasing and design
manager of Dutz Eyewear since
A 2013, and one of three company
shareholders. She earned a degree in
international business from HEAO
International Business School in Enschede,
the Netherlands and received no formal
design training. Jonkergouw ‘accidentally’
ended up in the eyewear industry when, after
years of working in the financial sector in the
U.S., Belgium and the United Kingdom, she
changed course and began looking for a new
job. She found it at Eurovisie World Wide
B.V., a Netherland-based eyeglass frames
wholesaler.
