In a different approach to optimizing eyecare, Neurolenses use a technology
called “contoured prism” to relieve annoying and/or painful symptoms, such as
headaches, digital eye strain, dry eye and neck pain. Contoured prism design
intelligently places the appropriate correction in the lenses where it’s needed
most. These lenses can be customized for every patient and are available in any
                                         prescription.

In several studies, contoured prism showed efficacy in
relieving symptoms as a therapeutic offering. New evidence
suggests that there is also an opportunity to expand this
technology to an even broader population focused on visual
performance and productivity improvement. Another study
reports that Neurolenses can have a significant impact on
reading speed. After evaluating reading speed at baseline,
and following seven days of lens wear, the mean (±SD)
improvement in reading speed with Neurolenses was almost
70 per cent higher than the mean (±SD) improvement in
reading speed with other premium lens designs.
As Pierre Bertrand, CEO of Neurolens, notes: “These new
results have exciting implications for the impact the vision
industry can have on productivity, comprehension and learning.”
